Automated Technologies

We and our service providers and contractors may use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies (collectively, “Automated Technologies”) to receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our Website through your computer or mobile device to improve the quality of our services, including for storing user preferences, tracking user trends, and providing relevant advertising to you.

  • What are cookies? A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. When you visit the website again, the cookie allows the website to recognize your browser. Cookies may store unique identifiers, user preferences, and other information. Cookies can be set by a website owner like TruLite or they can be set by third parties (e.g., Facebook, Google, etc.). Third-party cookies may also be used to enable analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) or advertising functionality (e.g., ad re-targeting on third-party websites) that enables more customized services and advertising by tracking your interaction with a website and collecting information about how you use the website.
  • What are web beacons? Web beacons are small electronic files (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) on webpages that permit a website owner like TruLite to, for example, count users who have visited those pages and collect other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity). Pixels may also be used by website owners like TruLite and our service providers and contractors to reach out to you about our products and services after you leave our site.

The information we collect through Automated Technologies may or may not contain Personal Information about you. This information helps us to improve our Website by enabling us to do things like estimate our audience size and usage patterns; store information about your preferences to customize our Website according to your individual interests; speed up your searches; recognize you when you return to our Website; and to support the other activities described in this Website Privacy Policy, such as Advertising.

You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being sent. However, some Website features or services may not function properly without cookies. Please keep in mind that your browser settings may not permit you to control the technologies utilized by third-party companies. There are third-party companies that are unaffiliated with TruLite who can provide you with more information about third-party advertising and your opt out choices, such as the Digital Advertising Alliance WebChoices Tool.

TruLite may use the following Automated Technologies offered by our service providers and contractors to assist us with the following activities:

  • Google Analytics. TruLite may use Google Analytics (or other similar web analytics tools). Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. to collect certain information relating to your use of the Website. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze user activity. We may also use Google Analytics Advertising Features or other advertising networks to reach out to you again about our services after you leave our Website.
  • Facebook, LinkedIn and HubSpot Pixels. TruLite may use pixels from social media sites, like Facebook or LinkedIn, so that we can reach out to you again if you permit these sites to display our advertisements to you. These pixels only send information about your use of our Website. We do not use these pixels to track your activity on other websites.

Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Website Privacy Policy.

Advertising

We may deliver to you content and marketing communications that we think may interest you. We may also use Automated Technologies (as described above) and information about how you browse our Website to show you advertisements (ads) for TruLite. We may also send you TruLite ads in response to your request for information or feedback. We do not collect your browsing information from third-party websites to display third-party ads to you.

You may opt out of receiving marketing emails from us by following the unsubscribe link in each email, or by emailing us at info@trulitehealth.com. You may continue to receive non-marketing emails from us after you opt-out.

Electronic Communications

We may need to contact you about the Website, your activity on our Website and our services. By giving us your contact information, you have agreed that TruLite, as well as our affiliates, business partners, service providers and contractors, may contact you for these purposes. These communications may be done by automated dialing equipment and/or artificial or prerecorded messages. You may receive multiple messages each day.

You must follow the requirements of this Website Privacy Policy and our Website Terms of Use when contacting us via email or text message. Please note that the information you provide to us through the Website may not be secure (not encrypted). Email via the Internet or other electronic means, such as through your device’s text messaging service, may not be secure (not encrypted). There are risks associated with unsecure communications that you should consider. These risks include (without limitation) that an unauthorized person may get access to these communications. By engaging us in unsecure communications, you agree to accept these risks and consent to receive unsecure communications in response from us.
